YOU QUALIFY FOR ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS/GREEN CARD MARRIAGE:
- You and Spouse are now married
- Spouse is currently in the U.S.
- Spouse entered the U.S. legally (even if she/he has overstayed current visa)
- You make over the Poverty Guidelines (see below) of $18,212 per year
- There is a bona fide, real relationship
REGARDING POVERTY GUIDELINES:
- If you do not make over the Poverty Guidelines of $18,212 per year you can have any other U.S. Citizen do an Affidavit of Support to aver that they will support Fiancee/Spouse, if needed, so that Fiancee/Spouse will not go on any sort of public aid, welfare, or the like.
- If you are retired or self-employed, you can also qualify on assets such as house, pension, social security, business etc.
